VIU Cowichan's Innovation Lab Presentation

The VIU Cowichan Innovation Lab will host a lecture by Dr. Lynne Siemens on "Creative Industrial Clusters" at the Cowichan campus on May 24 from 4:30-7:00 p.m. Dr. Siemens has done extensive research on small, rural businesses on Vancouver Island and will outline ways in which the clustering of creative individuals with common goals and desired outcomes has lead to success for many small Island businesses. This lecture will be followed with a wine tasting event, which will highlight local innovative food and wine producers.

VIUSU Annual Broom Bust

Scotch Broom was introduced to Vancouver Island in 1850. Since then it has wreaked havoc on the natural ecosystem. Join the movement to eliminate scotch broom permanently! We will be busting broom at the top of the Nanaimo VIU campus, by building 395. Register at the VIUSU bldg 193 or show up at the broom busting site ready for action.
