Malaspina International Highschool: 1996 - 1999
The high school at VIU opened to students in 1996 as Malaspina International Collegiate. It later was renamed Malaspina International High School and then Malaspina High School in 2009. By its second year of operations students from Brazil, Germany, Hong Kong, Jamaica, Japan, Korea, Macau, Taiwan, and Thailand were in attendance. This photo shows the school’s first class in 1996.
